NDS-32 MPV – Built for Year-Round Operations in Norway’s Most Exposed Waters

The NDS-32 MPV has been constructed from the keel up to meet the Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue’s specific requirements for a new vessel class capable of year-round operational service in Norway’s most challenging sea areas. The vessel is currently under construction and is scheduled to be operational from April 2026.

The vessel is optimized for safe and efficient conventional rescue and support missions, including SAR, towing, firefighting, and transporting the injured. Additionally, it is designed to handle large-scale crisis management, with deck space and internal passenger capacity being central aspects.

Primary Operational Tasks:

  • Search and Rescue (SAR) and boarding operations
  • Assisting vessels and crews during dive operations
  • Assisting vessels during towing operations
  • Firefighting operations
  • Cargo and passenger transport
  • Ambulance operations, including an onboard medical room with a stretcher bench
  • Transport operations in compliance with certification
  • Transport of defined deck cargo on the aft deck / 10’ container for oil spill response equipment
  • NOFO operations / Oil spill response
